Bridget Van Treese Joins Revan Health Team as Primary Provider and Partner

Bridget Van Treese, MSN, APRN-CNP, FNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, is joining the Revan Health team as primary health care provider and partner.

Van Treese came to Revan Health with a background in emergency care and family practice, and specializes in the care needs to the LGBTQ+ community. She is merging her practice, Advocate Family Health with Revan Health, founded by Jason Revel and Justin Evans.

“I opened my clinic in July 2020 just a few weeks after Revan Health opened,” says VanTreese.

“When we met Bridget and we realized our clinics shared the same mission and long-term vision for providing dignified, equitable health care for the LGBTQ community, we knew we were better together,” according to Evans. “This merger was important to us because we wanted an affirming, open-mind provider, and Bridget checked all of those boxes and then some.”

Suicide success rates among individuals who are transgendered increases significantly when denied access to gender-affirming care. “We’re here to help prevent that,” says Van Treese. “Decreasing suicide rates in LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and decreasing the instances of health trauma are some of my reasons for doing this very important work.”

Van Treese is a 12-year Air Force veteran and currently serves in the Air Force Reserves. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama.

In her free time, Bridget enjoys outdoor activities, reading, and spending family time with her wife and daughter.
